My child has never done gymnastics before. Is that okay?

Absolutely. Many of our athletes begin with no previous gymnastics experience. Our recreational classes are designed to meet athletes where they are and help them build skills, strength, coordination, confidence, and a love of movement.

How do I know which class to register for?

Accepted Answer

Start with your child's age, if under the age of 5 they would enroll in our age based classes. If your athlete is over the age of 5, without previous experience, they should enroll in our Beginner class. If they are over the age of 5 with previous experience, join us at an open gym for a skills assessment to determine their class level.

Can we try a class before registering?

Trial classes are not available at BAGC, however if you enroll in a class and it is not a great fit for your athlete or family, please reach out to bagcdirector@gmail.com.

Question 4

What if my child is nervous about starting gymnastics?

Accepted Answer

That's okay. Starting something new can feel intimidating, especially for younger athletes. Our coaches will help your child become comfortable with the gym, their classmates, and the class routine. We encourage athletes to participate at their own pace while gently challenging them to try new things. Building confidence is part of gymnastics, too.
